California Silvertip
The most sought after of all Christmas trees, grown only at high elevations in the Sierra Nevada. Ours grow at 7500 ft on our mountain farm near Susanville and Mt. Shasta, CA.
Since the trees are dormant when they are cut, they tend to hold up longer and better than others, and can be harvested earlier in the season.
This is the ultimate tree in beauty and durability.
Silvertip Grades
Noble Fir
Elegant and lush, known for excellent needle retention and longevity, with needles turning upward, exposing the lower branches. The stiff branches of the Noble make it a perfect tree for heavy ornaments, as well as providing excellent greenery for wreaths and garland.
Nordmann Fir
This species is from Russia. Its two-toned needles are deep glossy green, with a subtle light blue underside and waxy cuticle, which inhibits moisture loss. This is the tree of choice for people with allergies!
Douglas Fir
Soft needles are dark green to blue green and approximately 1 to 1-1/2 inch in length. The needles radiate in all directions from the branch and are sweetly fragrant.
